Learning Support Assistants

We are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) for a range of upcoming opportunities across colleges in the Preston and Warrington areas.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support to help them access learning, achieve their goals and develop confidence within the classroom environment. This may include supporting learners with SEND, learning difficulties, disabilities, emotional wellbeing needs or additional learning requirements.

The Role

• Provide classroom-based learning support on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Support students to engage in lessons and learning activities
• Encourage independence, confidence and progression
• Work alongside teaching staff to implement learning support strategies
• Assist with monitoring student progress and wellbeing

We Are Looking For

• Experience working with young people or adults in education, support or care settings
• A patient, supportive and professional approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience supporting SEND learners is advantageous but not essential
• Relevant qualifications in education, support work, childcare, health & social care or counselling are desirable
